In Persian Cinderella story, Godmother doesn’t appear. Instead, Cinderella named Settareh gets a small jug: As she hastened past a pottery stall, Settareh saw a small jug lying in the dust. It was made of ordinary clay and a jagged crack ran down one side, but it was glazed with a blue as bright as the sky. Settareh could not take her eyes from it. She buys the jug with her little money. undefined

“I don’t care if you are cracked.” Settareh rubbed the pot with her finger. “But I wish you are filled with jasmine blossoms.” The jug began to quiver and her fingertips tingled. Suddenly the air was sweet with fragrance, and her jar brimmed with white flowers.

Louisiana is the state, abbreviated LA. Do you know the city? If you find it, write:
      Cityname, LA: Pelican.

The next morning, Omoni scattered huge sack of rice around the countryard and ordered Pear Blossom to hull the rice and polish every grain. Then a flock of sparrows flew out of the tree: “Cheer! Cheer! Cheer!” the sparrows called to Pear Blossom. They pecked at the rice, separating husk from kernel. In a matter of minutes the sparrows had polished the rice and piled it in a corner.

I think these section tags will be very useful. Am I right in thinking these are direct quotations only? You should also start writing some of your own sentences.

Omoni ordered Pear Blossom to fill a water jar, but she couldn’t because the jar had a hole the size of an onion. Then a gigantic frog appeared and helped Pear Blossom: A gigantic frog with bulging eyes stared back. “Jagful!” it croaked again, and squeezed itself like a stopper into the hole in the jar.
